An in-game portrait for the RPG Nevewinter Nights.
Stock used:
*Dove-Stock for the sorceress [link] :blowkiss:
The tree trunk is from my own stock, tree brushes are also my own but the background is from stock.xchng.
The spell effect is a brush from *digital-nexus

**edit** Fixed the hand and sleeve, I think it looks better now. Also painted in a fold in the hood.

I really rather like this one. :) The colors, the pose, the expression... quite striking. I can imagine the fold in the hood is a huge improvement. And I think the most striking thing (to me) here is her hood, nearly covering her eyes like that.

It's kind of weird and cool and wicked (not parodying your name, i use that adjective shamefully often x.x) to see these pictures of NWN...I never played the game but I remember reading up on it and reading through my friend's guides. Now most all the MMO art you see around here is WoW stuff, which is fine, but how many night elves does it take to fill a dA page?? heh

I love Neverwinter Nights! Especially the first one, I've played countless of fanmade mods for it as well and never tire of it ^^ Never played WoW, I was into Everquest 2 for months though but it was too time consuming so I've had to take a break

Everquest 1 for me...and semi-obsessed with wow for a little while, but never to the level of these people who don't eat or sleep, eheh. Yeah, it's really time consuming, and doesn't really feel like an accomplishment when I play. Not like when I play a console game like zelda, with an actual END in sight. Yeah you can complete quests and stuff in MMOs, but you never really FINISH the game...and that depresses me in a way :\

Lol! That's exactely it! My list of quests never shrink and frankly that stressed me out a little. I like to know I've accomplished something, I could work my butt off for hours and end up with a quest list longer than when I started playing that night. But it was fun, and very addictive. No wonder they call it 'Evercrack' :D Atm I'm playing the Oblivion expansion Shivering Isles. I really love Oblivion too, but my fav rpg will always be Neverwinter Nights and Vampire the Masquerade ^^

omg i was just thinking of oblivion lol, yeah i love oblivion and morrowind, though i never actually 'beat' either one (lol) in a way, it offers the same problem as mmo's as far as neverending quest lists go, but in the end it all actually does add up, giving you better equipment and stats, and more interestingly, actually affecting the world around you (i mean even early on, you get people calling you the hero of kvatch!) And sometimes it's really exhilirating to complete a big quest or series of them, I mean like when I finally got my recommendations from every town so i could get into the arcane university? oh my GOD that felt good XD ...though once you get access to enchanting, the game kinda becomes cheap, heh
